It's the latest in the Higurashi franchise, however it is not as bloody and is about more Western type horror than anything. It is a murder mystery featuring a protagonist who is clearly a tribute to Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney since he's trying to resolve who is killing his family and relatives~~

I watched the first Higurashi series, still need to find the time to watch the other two. One of my favourite horror series so far.

You'll probably like a certain higurashi cameo in Umineko, instead of being 6 years old, she's now 16?!?!?!
